Artwork of Valerie Litt

Valerie is one of my daughters. She did this when she was 4. It was done on a 486-66 with MS Paint (freebie with Win95). My wife Sylvia did the lettering.

So when Valerie is 8, and I needed a cartoon for Troubleshooting Professional Magazine, I called on Valerie. I can't draw anything more than a stick figure, so I asked Valerie to do the cartoon. Here it is:

When Valerie was 10 she drew the following in connection with the DARE program at school. This was not part of her assignment -- but it reflects her understanding perfectly. Note the halo over the 10 year old and the horns and pointed tail of the 15 year old. Could this have been the start of her political cartoon career? The following is a cartoon drawn by Valerie showing her grandmother defeating the flu. Click on the image to see a larger version.
